The elections will take place from 19 to 26 May. Votes are collected through a special election website. There’s no party system in the Erasmus University council, so candidates can only stand for election as individuals. All students registered with the university and all employers with an employment contract may stand for elections and vote.

On-campus campaigning has become impossible because of the coronavirus; therefore, the entire campaign will take place digitally. The campaign period will last from 12 to 26 May, the day the ‘ballot boxes’ close.

The University Council is the highest representative body of the university and has the right of consent for the broad outlines of the university’s budget. There are seats for twelve students and twelve staff members on the council. The students are normally elected for one year; employees for two years. For more information about the nomination of candidates, go to the council’s website.
