University will close nearly every building on campus from Friday onwards
All Woudestein buildings will close after this Friday, excluding the V Building, Theil and Polak. The Erasmus University College (EUC) location in the city centre will also close. The International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) will remain open. This weekend (Easter weekend) the entire campus will be closed.

More coronanews
The university made the announcement on Monday. “We decided on this course of action because of the extended duration of the government’s measures and also taking into consideration the current numbers present on campus,” states the Executive Board in a press release. From Good Friday up to and including Easter Monday, all Woudestein buildings will be closed.
Until then, only the main entrances of the university buildings will be open, writes the Board. “Additional security staff will be posted at the main entrances to prevent anyone gaining access who shouldn’t. In doubt, ID may be requested.”
Requesting an exception
After Easter, the V Building, Theil, Polak and the ISS will be open on workdays from 8 a.m. tot 6 p.m. “These buildings are suited for the recording of lectures and for flexworking. The maxim remains: work at home if at all possible and only use an EUR workstation when it’s absolutely necessary,” says the Board.
If you need access to a building that’s closed, you can apply for access via my.eur.nl, where the university will publish an application form.
