In Memoriam Marvin van Berkel

It is with deep regret that we announce the sudden death of MSc Strategic Management student Marvin van Berkel on Wednesday 11 December.
Marvin was only 21 years old. He started his Master at RSM in September.
Marvin’s ambition was to work in international consultancy. He was keen on analysing and understanding the current situation in order to improve it for the future. By choosing the MSc Strategic Management, he wanted to learn how to manage a company, especially people, and how to apply these analytical insights. He was very focused, motivated and dedicated to his studies. At the same time he knew how to lighten the work with good humour and jokes and was a nice person to be around. He was determined to graduate with excellent grades and showed plenty of potential for his future career.
Our thoughts are with Marvin’s parents and family, who must bear this untimely loss. We wish them strength in these difficult times.
On behalf of Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University,
Prof. Ansgar Richter (Dean) and Dr Anna Nadolska (Academic Director MSc Strategic Management)
