Students fish for plastic in the Rotterdam canals
The reason for the clean-up hardly needs to be mentioned: the streets, parks, forests and canals of Rotterdam are full of litter. For Erasmus Clean Wave the biggest problem is that the plastic eventually enters the ocean through the waters. “This is a huge threat to biodiversity.”
EM reporters Alp and Ferayed stepped on the boat with the students to fish for plastic together.
