Into the kitchen: Ferayed cooks in the HUB

Gepubliceerd op:

Every Wednesday afternoon, the Erasmus Food Lab opens its doors for students who want to (learn to) cook. The students are divided into different groups that are responsible for a certain part of the meal. In a professional kitchen, students learn to make culinary delights from all over the world with all sorts of organic ingredients.

This week, Indonesian cuisine is on the menu: fried rice, rendang tofu, fried tempeh and green beans in coconut milk. Together with his teammates, our reporter Ferayed makes a curry paste; he cuts the onions and purees all ingredients in the food processor.

Even though, according to a student, the dishes are not the easiest ones to make, the students manage to cook them well. An hour later they enjoy the Indonesian meal that they have prepared themselves.
