EFR and EenVandaag election debate cancelled due to possible terrorist act in Utrecht
The election debate in the Aula of Erasmus University, which was planned for Monday evening, is cancelled, the board of study association EFR confirms. Because of a possible terrorist act in Utrecht, the campaign was stopped. Due to the increased security, politicians can no longer come to Rotterdam.

Monday night would have been broadcast live on national TV from the Aula, with party leaders from the VVD, CDA, D66, ChristenUnie, GroenLinks, PVV, SP and PvdA. Construction work in the Theilhal and Aula was in full swing. A special stage for the chairmen of the political parties can be decommissioned before it was used.
According to board member Daphne Lodder of EFR, which organized the debate together with TV programme EenVandaag, the debate has been cancelled by order of the police. “It is of course a terrible thing that happened in Utrecht. The political parties have therefore suspended their campaigns. Of course we fully understand that. We are very busy now to contact everyone involved and to break everything up again. ”
In the broadcast of EenVandaag this evening, the show will be devoted to the possible terrorist act in Utrecht, instead of the debate.
