‘Courses should be in English because English is the universal business language’
Are there too many international students at our university? More importantly, does the university work too hard to facilitate them? What do EUR students think? EM examined it in this campus talk video.
More and more lectures are being taught in English and not everyone is happy about it. Universities association VSNU recently proposed that, in addition to the English versions, also Dutch-speaking bachelors should be offered for all programs where internationalisation appears to be a ‘problem’. If necessary, a numerus fixus can also be put on the English-language program.
EM reporter Ferayed Hok asked Dutch and foreign students what they think of the increasingly dominant group of international students. Watch the video.
