Students will have to pay a considerably higher tuition fee in 2018, with the fee increasing from 2,006 euros to 2,060 euros. This 54-euro hike is higher than increases made in previous years.
The 2018/2019 academic year is the last year in which tuition fees are set to increase by a fixed amount of 22 euros, together with an additional amount dependant on price trends. The supplemental student grant will be raised by an identical amount.
Since 2015/2016, increases in tuition fees levelled off due to low inflation. The increase in the current academic year (22 euros) was the lowest in years, but now next year’s increase will be more than twice that amount.
