Parking P5 will close this week, to be turned into green park

From this Friday the parking will be closed
Strolling around campus one cannot help but notice the renovation and maintenance works that have been taking place on the university premises and outside. Following the construction works on Burgemeester Oudlaan which started yesterday and will continue until November this year, parking P5 will be closed as from April the 18th.
The demolishment of P5 (on the north side of campus) is part of a larger and long term plan which also involves the demolishment of P6 and the creation of a larger green park which will extend until the current E-building, surrounding the renovated Library building. By fall this year, the green park taking the place of P5 is expected to be completed.
Plaza Parking will open
Coinciding with the closure of P5, Erasmus Plaza parking will be opened to its full capacity, as only one third of its surface has been available so far. The parking will be accessible from Kralingse Zoom (Kralingse Zoom Entrance) from this week’s Friday. Moreover, on Monday the 18th from 8.00 to 11.00, the first car to drive in will win a free car windows wash.
