Dutch headlines on Wednesday: residents of nursing homes across the country are not being taken care off. They hardly come outside or have any activities planned.
This was not the case for (all) elderly people of Rotterdam. The Voormekaar foundation and members of student association R.S.V. Sanctus Laurentius took a stroll with the residents of nursing home Aafje. “We had a nice walk. After that, we exchanged stories while having a cup of tea,” Léon Vervooren, secretary of Laurentius told EM.
In two weeks time the members of Laurentius are planning another stroll with the residents of Aafje.
