Rotterdams best New Years Eve Parties

New Year’s Eve parties… I don’t really care for them. They tend to be overcrowded and overpriced, and you tend to have to buy tickets weeks in advance. For that reason, I’ll be skipping mass events such as Ahoy’s ‘Nachtduik’ this week and tell you all about a few more intimate and more attractively priced parties instead.
Thirty-hour party

Bar is hosting the ‘Never Ending Story’ this New Year’s Eve. It will be the longest party of the year – a thirty-hour celebration! In other words, you’ll be partying for all of the 1st of January and won’t go home until the 2nd. Host Bar calls it a ‘mini-festival’, spread out across several floors and featuring DJs such as Hunee, Young Marco and David Vunk. Tickets? €30.
Confetti

Head to Blender on 31 December for champagne showers and kilos’ worth of confetti at Confetti Club. I think I’ll be heading there myself because nothing says party like a confetti cannon. You’ll be able to dance, too, to ‘brand new hits, classics so old they creak, sultry slow burners and feel-good party bangers’ by Beau Zwart, Jeff Solo and CHEZZ. Wanna join me? €27.50.
Busting a move

If you really want to have a good time, look no further than Bahn. Things always get wild at this non-air-conditioned pill-poppers’ paradise. The club will be closed for ever after New Year’s Eve, so come and help us wreck the place! The best thing about this party is that you won’t be able to buy tickets in advance. So if you suddenly find yourself wanting to dance, head to Bahn and pay €20 to get the inside scoop!
