Dies Natalis Sports Week: Have you got a six-pack yet?

Working out changes the composition of your body: it gives you larger muscles and reduces the percentage of fat in your body. When you work out, your body uses up more energy, which speeds up your metabolism and makes you burn your fat reserves. In other words, it makes you lean, slim and muscular. Isn’t that what we all aspire to?
During this Dies Natalis Sports Week, students are allowed to check out a great variety of sports classes. On Wednesday, students were encouraged to try out fitness classes. Everyone was free to enter the university’s gym, regardless of whether they held a sports pass.
‘Thankfully, we’re doing good business,’ said Martin Giljamse, a coordinator at Erasmus Sports Gym. ‘We can accommodate a few more customers, though. The place is hardly ever packed. Customers hardly ever have to wait for a piece of equipment to become available. If you really wish to make sure the piece of equipment you want is available, check our capacity online. We keep a close eye on the availability. At the moment we do so by actually counting the pieces of equipment which are not being used, but down the track our capacity-tracking system will be fully automated.’
