Keep track with the Welcome2eur app
EUR has developed a new app called Welcome2eur, which offers pre- and post-arrival support for international staff at the Erasmus University. As a cooperation project between SSC HR & Finance, SSC ICT and the SMC-department, the Welcome2eur app is the first app that has been developed in-house.
The finalization and launch of the Welcome2eur app was celebrated last Thursday. From now on, international staff can use the app to keep track of all formal steps that need to be taken before and upon arrival in the Netherlands such as, for example, visa application or GBA registration. “By answering a number of questions, the app generates a list of formalities that is tailored to each employee individually,” explains Brenda Docter, project leader and internationalization advisor at SSC HR & Finance.
Target group
The Welcome2eur app is especially designed for international staff and does not target international students. “Whether there will be a similar app for students has not been decided yet. But technically it is possible,” says Docter.
Modern assistance
With the Welcome2eur app, EUR has developed a modern way of assisting international staff to arrange their stay in the Netherlands. “Employees can access their personalized overview anywhere at anytime, even without being online,” says Docter. NL
