This Thursday, the IBCoM awards will take place in the Hollywood Music Hall. A good reason for the ladies to flaunt their fancy dresses and for gents to show off on the red carpet, the event will feature singers, stand-up comedy, lots of dancing and more.
Having successfully started up the event last year, this year the organizers kicked it up a notch. “This year, we are organizing this event with hopes of raising money for the War Child initiative, and the net revenues will be donated to this charity”, says James Dooms, the promotion coordinator. Also, if you donate a euro to the War Child, you can win a stay in the deluxe suite at the Hilton – a perfect ending to a glamorous evening.
Students from other studies welcome
Since obviously the event is about one particular program, the organizers wish to attract students from other faculties and programs nevertheless. Maurice Pagano, the program coordinator, says that people should come for the line-up, as they have invited known DJs and performers. “Come to meet people from different studies, to network with them and just to have fun”.
