Work: Erasmus Magazine seeks students with journalistic and video ambition
Do you study at Erasmus University and want to gain experience while working in journalism? If so, Erasmus Magazine is looking for you!
Erasmus Magazine (EM) is the independent news platform of Erasmus University. We produce engaging, enjoyable and critical stories and videos about the university, education and science, and student life in Rotterdam.
We are looking for:
Video reporters who are not afraid to appear on camera, approach fellow students on campus, and want to create video reports about student life in Rotterdam and beyond.
Camera operators/video editors who can head out independently with a reporter to capture a story on film and quickly produce high-quality edits for EM’s video productions.
We appreciate it if you already have some experience, but this is not essential. Journalistic ambition and enthusiasm are. We also expect you to be available for at least the entire academic year 2026–2027 to produce one or two items per month and contribute to the Newsflash twice a month.
A good command of the Dutch language is an advantage.
What we offer:
A substantively engaging part-time job in which you gain experience and can explore whether a career in journalism is right for you. You will be paid for the work you do for EM. You will be guided in your work by professional journalists and become part of a friendly, committed and sharp-minded team.
Interested?
Then send an email before 26 May to [email protected] with your motivation (max 150 words) and CV and, if you have them, examples of your work.
Interviews will take place in early June, so please keep this in mind.
