Work: Erasmus Magazine seeks students with journalistic ambition

Do you study at Erasmus University and want to gain experience while working in journalism? If so, Erasmus Magazine is looking for you!

Erasmus Magazine (EM) is the independent news platform of Erasmus University. We produce engaging, enjoyable and critical stories about the university, education and science, and student life in Rotterdam.

We are looking for:

Reporters who can write.

We appreciate it if you already have some experience, but this is not essential. Journalistic ambition and enthusiasm are. We also expect you to be available for at least the entire academic year 2026 – 2027 to produce one or two items per month and to work a few hours per week at the editorial office.

What we offer:

A substantively engaging part-time job in which you gain experience and can explore whether a career in journalism is right for you. You will be paid for the work you do for EM. You will be guided in your work by professional journalists and become part of a friendly, committed and sharp-minded team.

Interested?

Then send an email before 26 May to [email protected] with your motivation (max 150 words) and CV and, if you have them, examples of your work.

Interviews will take place in early June, so please keep this in mind.
