Job: Erasmus Magazine seeks students with photojournalistic ambitions

Are you studying at Erasmus University and would you like to gain experience while working in journalism? Erasmus Magazine is looking for you!

Erasmus Magazine (EM) is the independent news platform of Erasmus University. We produce interesting, entertaining and critical stories and videos about the university, education and science, and student life in Rotterdam.

We are looking for:

Photographers who are not afraid to be at the front during events and news developments on campus and in the city. Who can take a strong portrait photograph and have a good camera of their own.

Photographers often work independently or accompany a reporter to capture a story visually.

We appreciate it if you already have some experience, but this is not essential. Journalistic ambition and enthusiasm are. We also expect you to be available for at least the entire 2026 – 2027 academic year. Naturally, we will take your study commitments into account.

A good command of the Dutch language is an advantage.

What we offer:

An intellectually engaging part-time job in which you gain experience and can discover whether a career in photojournalism is right for you. We will pay you for the work you carry out for EM. You will be guided in your work by professional journalists and become part of a friendly, committed and sharp-minded team.

Interested?

Send an email before 26 May to [email protected] with your motivation letter + CV and, if available, examples of your work.

Interviews will take place in early June, so please keep this in mind.
