How often will I receive the EM newsletter?

Normally, the EM newsletter is sent once a week, on Thursday. Besides that, we may very occasionally send you an extra newsletter when there is important breaking news.

What will I read in the EM newsletter?

The editors of EM collect the best, funniest or most important news stories of the past week. Erasmus Magazine is the only independent journalistic medium that reports about everything concerning Erasmus University and Erasmus MC.

I’d like to subscribe to the newsletter. How can I do that?

You can subscribe on this page. There, you have to choose between two versions: Dutch and English. Both editions will generally have very similar content.

I’ve subscribed on that page, but I still do not receive the newsletter. What can I do?

The most common scenario here is that you used to be subscribed, but were scrapped from our list due to inactivity from your side. Spam laws dictate that we have to remove you after a certain time of not opening our e-mails. In this case, the regular form will not do to resubscribe. You’ll have to do that yourself on this form by our mailing list host Mailchimp.

I’d like to unsubscribe to the newsletter. How can I do that?

Look for the link ‘Click here to unsubscribe’ at the bottom of a newsletter you’ve received. You will receive a notification if your unsubscription succeeded. If this fails, find out what e-mail address you used when you subscribed to the newsletter, or the address that was handed out to you by Erasmus University and got you subscribed automatically. This can be different than the one you’re receiving it on, because of forwarding rules you’ve applied to your university e-mail.

I’m receiving the EM newsletter without ever applying for it. How do I unsubscribe?

As the independent journalistic medium of Erasmus University, Erasmus Magazine has permission to regularly send a newsletter to all EUR student and staff mail accounts. All mail accounts are therefore automatically subscribed to our e-mail service. Of course, you are free to opt out at any time. To do so, Look for the link ‘Click here to unsubscribe’ at the bottom of a newsletter you’ve received. You will receive a notification when your unsubscription succeeded.
