It is with great sadness that we have learned of the tragic death of our first-year IBA student Kingsley James who suddenly passed away on 13 June.
Kingsley was only 18 years old and was just on the verge of implementing all the ambitious plans he had in store for himself. When applying for the IBA programme in 2015 he wrote that his interest to set up an international business made him choose an international business programme, and that the large number of international students from all over the world made him choose RSM as the place to study.
Kingsley settled in to his first year at RSM very well. He was known for being a social, and friendly guy who was passionate about playing basketball, and who was involved in various music-related activities. The IBA community has lost a charismatic member, whose absence will be felt. He will be dearly missed.
Our thoughts are with Kingsley’s parents, his brothers and sisters who have to bear this sudden loss. We wish them strength in these difficult times.
