Prof. William MacAskill, Associate Professor at the Global Priorities Institute, University of Oxford, and one of the co-founders of the movement, will present his new introduction to effective altruism.
This will be followed by a talk by Habiba Islam from the advising team of 80,000 Hours (https://80000hours.org/), a non-profit researching how to do the most good with your career.
After the talks, you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions in a live Q&A session.
The event will last for 60 minutes, and many university groups are organising virtual meet-ups immediately afterwards for roughly 30 min. You’ll be told how to join these during the session and we will also update this event page with the information.
