On Tuesday, two \u2018casualties\u2019 of the student loan system presented a petition with 124 signatures to the Lower House. These students are part of a group whose grievance is that they don\u2019t receive a basic grant and are not eligible for reduced tuition fees. So what exactly do they want?<\/p>\n

Britte Veltman and Amelia Zuidema presented the petition to Member of Parliament Frank Futselaar during student demonstrations this past Saturday.<\/span><\/p>

It took a while, but the petition<\/a>, an initiative of nursing students Britte Veltman and Amelia Zuidema, went completely viral after the summer. Tens of thousands of students at a time placed their signature to support the initiative.<\/p>\n\n\t
