This edition, Russian IBA student Veronika Kartovenko (21) tries griesmeelpudding.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>  <b>The product<\/b><\/p>\n<p>  Griesmeel (semolina) is flour-like product that can be made from a variety of different grains. In the Netherlands, it is made of wheat. Griesmeel is commonly made into a porridge (griesmeelpap) or pudding (griesmeelpudding). Griesmeelpudding is sweetened, and often served with redcurrant sauce. Both kinds are seen as \u2018typically Dutch\u2019 desserts, even though other countries have similar dishes made of griesmeel. In Scandinavia for instance, it is often combined with almonds and berries.<\/p>\n<div class=\"typo3-img-div\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.erasmusmagazine.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/ASSETS\/em\/EM\/Dutch_Delights\/Griesmeelpudding.jpg\" border=\"0\" title=\"\"><\/div>\n<p> <b>The review<\/b><\/p>\n<p>  \u201cOh, I\u2019ve had this before, I love it!\u201d Veronika says, \u201cI like the whole procedure of opening it, turning it around\u2026 the first time I had it I didn\u2019t know you should do it like that, so I just ate it out of the plastic cup.\u201d Veronika says she has this dessert quite often, because it\u2019s one of her favourites. Even though she\u2019s not really sure what \u2018gries\u2019, or semolina, is actually made of, she likes it a lot: \u201cI also like griesmeelpap, the porridge version. But I like this pudding more because it\u2019s so cute, it looks pretty with the sauce on top and you really feel like you\u2019re having a proper dessert.\u201d<\/p>\n<div
