It\u2019s been a pretty tough year, as Tobias de Lange and Amber Schothorst look back on it from the outdoor caf\u00e9 of The Student Hotel on Willem Ruyslaan in Kralingen. De Lange (24, Tax Law and Law) was the first president of the joint RSC\/RVSV. The Belgian Scothorst (21, just completed her Bachelor of Economics) will be taking over from him in mid-September.<\/p>\n

Last year, het Rotterdamsch Studenten Corps<\/em> and the Rotterdamsche Vrouwelijke Studenten Vereeniging<\/em> merged after more than a century of segregated history. They also rebuilt their premises in Kralingen, and there were incidents during the 2017 initiations, resulting in severe university sanctions.<\/p>\n
