I believe that psychology is an essential tool in this fast-paced world. The daily hustle and bustle and busy lives make people hide or ignore their emotions. Psychology helps us to better understand people and relationships and above all, it gives people more insight into themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why did you choose EUR?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When I met my Dutch boyfriend in Brazil, I started looking for a study programme in the Netherlands. I didn\u2019t just fall in love with him, I fell in love with\u00a0Dutch education system too. Students here have to be active and independent and I think that\u2019s great. My previous university was much more traditional and EUR sounded like a challenge. It\u2019s a well-known university and it\u2019s located in a multicultural city like Rotterdam. In short, I\u2019m pretty sure it was the best decision I\u2019ve ever made.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Will you be living in Rotterdam?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, and not just because my boyfriend comes from Rotterdam. It\u2019s also a city where I could see myself living. It has a great vibe, a beautiful skyline, high-rise buildings and an interesting background history. I think the people who live in Rotterdam are fantastic: they\u2019re funny and open minded. And you can find so many different kinds of restaurants from so many different countries here.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m looking forward to the winter season with all the lights and the magical ambiance I\u2019m expecting to see. In the summer you also have the Summer Carnival where all different cultures come together. And I\u2019m hoping for summer days in Hoek van Holland because, of course, I already found out where the beach is.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>What are your expectations for your first year at EUR?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m expecting mixed emotions. On the one hand the dream has come true, but on the other hand, I\u2019m far away from my family. It\u2019s a new country, a new university, new culture, new friends, new living arrangements. There are a lot of changes but I think I can handle it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>What are your good \u2013 or maybe not so good \u2013 resolutions for the first year of your studies?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cGetting good grades. But I feel it\u2019s even more important to learn and have new experiences. Studying at a Dutch university is hard work so I suspect I\u2019ll be spending a lot of time on my studies. I\u2019ll have to schedule things so that I don\u2019t end up staying inside all the time. That doesn\u2019t sound like the healthiest way to spend your time as a student. I also want to take a martial arts course, take dance lessons, and learn Dutch. I can already speak it a little bit, but I really want to improve it with a \u2018language buddy\u2019. I hope I\u2019ll succeed in making a few good friends. And I\u2019d also like to add that I\u2019m very interested in Rotterdam\u2019s nightlife and party scene.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\t<div data-name=\"acf\/persons\" class=\"mt-6 md:mt-8 lg:mt-10\"
