This edition, Vietnamese IBCoM student Ng\u00f4 Minh C\u00f4ng (18) tastes borrelnootjes. <\/p>\n<h4>The product<\/h4>\n<p>Borrelnootjes are a savoury snack: peanuts coated in a seasoned crispy layer. \u2018Borrel\u2019 means an alcoholic drink, \u2018nootjes\u2019 means nuts, which already suggests the appropriate context to have some borrelnootjes. Similarly, they are often called \u2018cocktailnootjes\u2019. Have some at a party with a beer or a glass of wine, or as the name suggests, a cocktail. You can buy them in any Dutch supermarket in a variety of different flavours, such as oriental or Mediterranean herbs.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<div class=\"typo3-img-div\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.erasmusmagazine.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/ASSETS\/em\/EM\/Dutch_Delights\/borrelnootjes-dutch-delight.jpg\" border=\"0\" title=\"\"><\/div>\n<h4>The review <\/h4>\n<p>Ng\u00f4 picks a few borrelnootjes from the bowl and tastes them: \u201cThey\u2019re pretty dry. Not bad, but not really special. Just a snack.\u201d He has never had them before, and doesn\u2019t think he would ever buy them himself: \u201cI mean, if I would get them for free, I\u2019d eat them. But I wouldn\u2019t buy them in a supermarket.\u201d <\/p>\n<p> After trying a few more, Ng\u00f4 notes that they seem a little familiar: \u201cThey taste\u00a0 like pizza actually. Interesting.\u201d All in all, borrelnootjes seem like an appropriate snack to have at a party, but nothing more. As they\u2019re pretty dry, it\u2019s best to have them with a drink, as the name already indicates.<\/p>\n<p> <strong>Score: 2 out of 5.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> 1= I flushed it down the toilet<\/p>\n<p>
