In Rotterdam, the chicken and tayer root casserole is often eaten in a sandwich and omnipresent on the West-Kruiskade. Reporter Saskia Electra meets journalist Sharyfah Bhageloe at De Kade restaurant. Bhageloe researched the origins of the iconic dish. She also meets Glenda van Duivenvoorde, owner of catering company Kukru Basi.
