The university denied Maged\u2019s request for a different promotor because, according to the university, the open letter fell under the freedom of speech. Maged didn\u2019t want to continue with the supervisor and so his contract was not extended. He appealed the decision, but the judge has now sided with the university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, bachelor students at ESL are unhappy with their shorter academic year. They say it leads to more study pressure. Staff report they do appreciate the change. And internationals students are more often the victims of housing scams, the Dutch National Student Union&nbsp;reports.
