A burst water pipe has caused problems with the water pressure on Woudestein, at the side of the library and the Theil building. Staff at the Erasmus Paviljoen have to wash up by hand, while in other buildings it is difficult to flush the toilets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the beginning of the afternoon, the entrance to the campus was under water.<\/p><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The problems began early in the afternoon. A burst water pipe caused low water pressure in several buildings, resulting in little water coming from the taps. The toilet cisterns are also not working properly because of the low pressure. As a result, it can take longer for a toilet to flush.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beer still available<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The problems were clearly noticeable in the Erasmus Paviljoen. Staff were unhappy with the situation. Because of the low water pressure, they had to wash everything by hand, could not make tea with the Quooker and it took much longer to boil water. Fortunately, customers could still order a beer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students are advised to use only the toilets on the ground floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Real Estate & Facilities has arranged mobile toilets and running water as an alternative. These will be placed later today between the N building and the Exam Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The water pipe is expected to be fully repaired by Saturday at the latest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
