Are you a member of a student or study association, or do you play sports at a club? Who are the heroes working behind the scenes to keep your activities running smoothly?<\/p>\n

Campus cleaners, a cook who prepares the association\u2019s meals every week, or the manager of a large student complex. People who aren\u2019t students themselves but work hard to make sure everything runs seamlessly for you \u2014 often without being in the spotlight.<\/p>\n

A great example is Rob Venema from rowing association Skadi. In EM\u2019s new video series The constant factor<\/em>, he talks about his work and how much he enjoys working with students. \u201cThe first time, I found it really strange,\u201d he says in the video coverage. \u201cAt first, you think: what on earth is going on here? But after a while, you start to understand it, especially through all the stories students share with you.\u201d By now, he feels completely at home among the students. \u201cIt\u2019s actually quite funny. I\u2019ve never experienced this kind of madness at home.\u201d<\/p>\n
