The board of TU Delft University of Technology has changed its mind about taking the Inspectorate of Education to court. This can be read in a new statement on social safety at the university.<\/p>\n

At the university of technology, social safety has been neglected, the education inspectorate wrote in a report. It allegedly concerned a case of \u2018mismanagement\u2019. The board responded furiously and threatened to go to court.<\/p>\n

This has been met with indignation. In a petition, over 1,100 employees asked the board not to start a court case and take the inspectorate\u2019s recommendations to heart. Trade unions and work councils didn\u2019t see the merits of taking legal action against the inspectorate either.<\/p>\n

The board \u2018gratefully listened\u2019 to the criticism. Which means there won\u2019t be a court case after all<\/a>, university magazine Delta writes.<\/p>\n
