The second division korfball match between Erasmus 1 and Dunas 1 at the sports building saw the home side claim a comfortable 30-18 victory. Not only have they secured promotion to the first division on Saturday, but they\u2019re also one win away from becoming the champions of the second division.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am a little bit nervous\u201d, admits medicine student Danique Bosman (22) before the match. \u201cThe last time we played against Dunas 1, we won 26-15. I do not know how the match will go, but I think everyone is feeling positive nerves. At the same time, I\u2019m excited, because if we win, we will be playing in the first division next year, and it will be awesome!\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite the emotions before the match, the odds are in the home team\u2019s favour on Saturday. \u201cWe have won every home game since September, so playing at home today gives us even more confidence\u201d, reveals Chris van Dijk (42), head coach of the team. We\u2019re playing against number\u00a0 7 [Dunas], and they\u2019re already relegated to the third division, so that also gives a bit extra confidence.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\t
