In 2019, Stephanie Maas and Derck Koolen told us about his unique marriage proposal<\/a>. The couple, who met when they both worked at the Rotterdam School of Management, have since got married and now have a six-month-old baby called Victor. Has a lot changed? \u201cOf course! But most importantly, we\u2019re still crazy about each other and our love for each other has only grown now that Victor has come along.\u201d<\/p>\n

Derck and Stephanie met in 2016 when they were both PhD students at the RSM. Their hearts first skipped a beat during a night of salsa dancing. In 2019, they got engaged and were due to get married in September of the following year. \u201cWe had everything planned. We wanted to hold a ceremony in Yosemite National Park in the United States, because we both love travel and nature\u201d, says Derck. \u201cAnd we also visited Yosemite during our first long-distance holiday together in California\u201d, adds Stephanie. Unfortunately, coronavirus messed up their plans. \u201cWe got tired of waiting and finally decided to say \u2018I do\u2019 to each other in Rotterdam on 31 March 2021\u201d, says Stephanie.<\/p>\n\n\t
