When 19-year-old Alexandra Pop went back to Bucharest to attend her baby brother\u2019s baptism, she only intended to stay for a few days. She\u2019d bring her brand-new boyfriend along for the trip, because they\u2019d only be gone for a week, anyway. Then her grandmother contracted the coronavirus, and her mother, and her sister, and then she herself did, too. As a result, Alexandra and her boyfriend had to spend weeks inside the family\u2019s apartment, with her mother and sister.<\/p>\n

In late December, Alexandra downloaded the Bumble dating app. She soon matched with Matthijs who was new to the app, as well. \u201cWe had such a good conversation. We clicked at once. We never went on a real date, because there\u2019s not much you can do during a pandemic. We went on a lot of walks and got a lot of take-away coffee. Soon we were together 24\/7. And we\u2019re still fine,\u201d she says, laughing. \u201cYou wouldn\u2019t expect that to be the case when you\u2019re spending this much time together, but it\u2019s true.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\t
