Many students are feeling the pinch because of the coronavirus crisis, according to a survey by\u00a0Erasmus Magazine <\/em>that was taken by almost seven hundred students. One in five students has lost their part-time job during the intelligent lockdown. In addition, nearly a quarter of students have seen their working hours reduced. 39 per cent indicated that they are receiving less income due to the crisis.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have a part-time job in a restaurant, so you can guess what happened\u201d, an Erasmus School of Economics student wrote in response to our survey, which was taken by 692 students. He was not the only student who had experienced the financial impact of the closure of caf\u00e9s and restaurants. Many students told us they had lost their jobs in a hotel, restaurant or caf\u00e9, or been given fewer hours, for instance because they were on zero-hour contracts.<\/p>\n
