The number of students attending Erasmus University continues to grow rapidly. According to the annual \u2018First of October Census\u2019, 29,558 students now attend EUR\u2019s seven faculties \u2013 a near 6,000-student increase from the 2015 figure.<\/p>\n

Last year, the university expressed some concerns about the sharp increase<\/a> in enrolment figures. At the time, the university was wondering whether \u2018the growth would be able to be curbed\u2019 and how the rise in student numbers would affect staff workloads and the quality of both teaching and research. However, despite those misgivings, the number of students rose again last year, by more than 4 per cent. Whereas EUR had fewer than 24,000 students in 2015, it is now approaching the magic number of thirty thousand students.<\/p>\n
