It is baked from the following ingredients: flour, sugar, anise, cinnamon, and clove. It is a distinct custom to throw Pepernoten in handfuls through the (class)room \u2013 children trying to catch them to eat them. It\u2019s originally a symbol representing fertility.<\/p>\n<div class=\"typo3-img-div\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.erasmusmagazine.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/ASSETS\/em\/EM\/Dutch_Delights\/Pepernoten-dichtbij-web.jpg\" border=\"0\" title=\"\"><\/div>\n<p>All in all, tasting pepernoten for Dutch Delight turned out to be a positive experience for Nuo. \u201cI would definitely buy it again if I would see it in the store\u201d, he adds. \u201cActually, since it\u2019s a typical Dutch delight, I might bring some pepernoten for my relatives in China\u201d, he concludes.<\/p>\n<p> Nuo\u2019s score: 3,5<\/p>\n<p> 1= I flushed it down the toilet<\/p>\n<p> 2= If you bought it anyway, eat it, why not?<\/p>\n<p> 3=Quite nice actually<\/p>\n<p> 4=Really good food<\/p>\n<p> 5=Best food I\u2019ve ever tasted<\/p>\n<p> Would you like to participate in a future edition of Dutch Delights too?
