From metro station Oostplein, small groups of students are all walking in the same direction. Music is playing in the distance, and more and more orange jumpers are appearing on the street. It\u2019s not yet seven o\u2019clock, but the party at Laurentius is in full swing.<\/p>\n

At the entrance to the terrace, we receive a warm welcome. \u201cCan I see your IDs please,\u201d asks a jolly young man in a suit. He immediately puts on his sunglasses: \u201cI don\u2019t mean to be rude, but I only had three hours\u2019 sleep last night.\u201d Wearing an 18+ wristband, we\u2019re allowed into the Laurentius terrace on Infirmeriestraat. It\u2019s busy, and the music is loud: here the new academic year is being celebrated in style.<\/p>\n\n\t
