As a cooperation project between SSC HR &amp; Finance, SSC ICT and the SMC-department, the <em>Welcome2eur <\/em>app is the first app that has been developed in-house.  <\/p>\n<p>The finalization and launch of the <em>Welcome2eur<\/em> app was celebrated last Thursday. From now on, international staff can use the app to keep track of all formal steps that need to be taken before and upon arrival in the Netherlands such as, for example, visa application or GBA registration. \u201cBy answering a number of questions, the app generates a list of formalities that is tailored to each employee individually,\u201d explains Brenda Docter, project leader and internationalization advisor at SSC HR &amp; Finance. <\/p>\n<p> <strong>Target group<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> The <em>Welcome2eur<\/em> app is especially designed for international staff and does not target international students. \u201cWhether there will be a similar app for students has not been decided yet. But technically it is possible,\u201d says Docter. <\/p>\n<p> <strong>Modern assistance <\/strong><\/p>\n<p> With the <em>Welcome2eur<\/em> app, EUR has developed a modern way of assisting international staff to arrange their stay in the Netherlands. \u201cEmployees can access their personalized overview anywhere at anytime, even without being online,\u201d says Docter.
