Sukoon is the arabic word for Silence. The centerpiece of this evening is a theatrical performance that tells crosses the barriers of language to tell you the Syrian story, in a way that everyone can relate to.
Het Syrische Comite, WILDe Theater, & Iona Stichting bring you this fully rounded event. You’ll be welcomed into an art exhibition by 3 different syrian artists with styles that range from Caricature to Abstract.
Then you’ll be lead into the theater where the play Sukoon will be showcased, and afterwards there will be a discussion with the actors and organizers, and of course you’ll be able to ask any questions you’d like. Last but not least, we offer you a meal from our beloved syrian cuisine.
