On average, the working Dutch person continues sitting for about 7 hours a day. In government functions the average is much higher, in this sector people spend an average of 8 to 9 hours a day. That this is bad for our body, most of us know, but did you know that it is also disastrous for your mental health? Research has shown that people who spend more than 6 hours a day sitting more often suffer from psychological stress. Moving around also plays an important role in preventing and curing stress-related complaints.
The training is provided by Sandra Klaperski from ESSB, relaxation trainer and sports psychologist. She conducts research about the relationship between stress and physical activity.
