Jazz concert ‘Spirits’ is about the musical roots of famous jazz trumpet player Michael Varekamp: Ancestors from all over the world, musicians like Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, Wayne Shorter, Toumani Diabaté and more. The music in ‘Spirits’ is jazz with intense, colorful elements.

Michael Varekamp played several times at EUR with his band. He also presents the digital Jazz history course, which can be found on the Studium Generale website.
