Two rival families, noble pride, envy, revenge and a fatal passion: Romeo and Juliet is a story that has it all. Often set to music, but never as compelling as by Prokofiev.
You’ll hear highlights from his ballet music, including the iconic Dance of the Knights, the moonlit balcony scene, and the dramatic ending. Before that, pianist Seong-Jin Cho will play Mozart’s Ninth Piano Concerto ‘Jeunehomme’.
