Documentary 1: “This Changes Everything”
Climate change is one of the most pressing challenges of our time. This documentary attempts to reimagine the climate debate through the powerful portrayal of several communities around the world each fighting back against rampant capitalism – often at the expense of Mother Earth. It builds on the idea that we can ultimately use the climate crisis to transform our failed economic system into something radically better.
Documentary 2: “Tomorrow”
The documentary “Tomorrow” takes a different approach to the debate about sustainability by showing stories of creative solutions from communities that pursue a sustainable and just way of life. A very positive and affirmative perspective is outlined and five themes are discussed – agriculture, energy, economy, democracy and education. The documentary shows the journey of its co-producers and co-directors through permaculture farms, urban farming projects, community sustainable projects, local currencies, creative schools, ambitious recycling projects, etc.
Participation in the film night is free of charge and the fees for the filmmakers will be provided by the VCC initiative.
The event is online at Zoom and the movie will be watched using a unique link and password, which can be shared during the event.
