Ulreich survived the war, fell in love with a British soldier and immigrated to Israel. There, her diaries circulated within the family for years, until her son took them to the Frankfurter Buchmesse and ran into VU historian Bart Wallet. Wallet, specialized in Jewish history, soon saw that it was a special ego document. In 2016 it was published under the title ‘At night I dream of peace: War diary 1941-1945, with introduction and text delivery by Bart Wallet.
