Mohamedou Ould Slahi is an internationally known author and artist who was imprisoned innocently in Guantanamo Bay prison camp for many years. He wrote down his experiences in his memoirs entitled Guantánamo Diary. His book became an instant hit and was the #1 New York Times bestseller for weeks. His story was recently filmed in the box office hit ‘The Mauritanian’.
On 15 June, he will come to Rotterdam for an interview on campus. The introduction will be done by human rights lawyer Else van de Loo. There will be time afterwards for students to ask questions. The event will take place in Sanders 0.02 and is open to everyone.
