Her research explores how women understand and experience their sexuality with a special focus on the colonial legacies that continue to shape sexual subjectivities until this day and the ways in which these are being resisted.

In my work I assess and analyze the transformative potential of and interactions between two large social protection programs in Ethiopia. I highlight key design features which are likely to enhance the ability of such schemes in reducing the vulnerability of rural households.
