Students of Erasmus University Rotterdam have been seen shivering all week on their way from lectures to the food court and library. The key to surviving the sub-zero temperatures and harsh, coastal winds of Rotterdam seems to be cozying up under layers of clothes and thick scarves.

Erasmus Magazine asked students how they felt about the cold, their best tips for staying warm, and their favorite cold-weather activities. The conclusion landed on things like yoga, coffee, earmuffs, pumping up bike tires, staying inside, and even a little flirting to keep the blood pumping.
